OMG!!! CBC is STUPID . Why on earth would you not pay a measly 2.5mil to secure a theme song most people believe to be the second national anthem. Not only do you never have to pay the guy each time you play the song but you can now charge for other people to use it. No doubt people will be switching to TSN to hear the song. CBC is going to loose a lot of money because of this.
And good job CTV for picking up the ball. Now we'll all just have to watch TSN to hear the theme song that has been a part of hockey tradition since the 1968.
